"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

Leopard Print Obsession

I may be described as over-enthusiastic about leopard print.

As long as we stray from the kitsch and keep it classy, leopard print is boss.

Tea & Music Afternoons

I sit upstairs from the studio in the room, next to the window. The sun is going down so it's at the perfect angle to be on my back while I'm typing. Blogging and working simultaneously. I have my cup of menthol green tea and my music is blaring. So comfortable it's beyond words.

It's the little pleasures

I wish to be beyond the plateau, by the sea

A holiday in Knysna sounds like fun! I was there in January. Oyster bars, big boats, incredible views, great shops, lush forests and a quiet type of buzz. This place is a wonderful getaway...ah, dreams. I will go back soon enough.

Itchin' for the kitchen

Procrastination takes many names and faces, and for me personally, I'd have to say the kitchen is the best of all.

Don't get me wrong, I love to cook and bake anyway, but I must admit that when I have something I'm avoiding getting done the kitchen is where I can lose myself.

In winter I find myself baking more muffins. I guess it's the perception of them being big and hearty, to fill me up and keep me warm.
Whatever it is, I like it!

I am going to let you in on a little secret...my muffin  recipe.

Orange & Poppy Seed Muffins

250g softened butter
250g castor sugar
250g self-raising flour
50g poppy seeds
4 large eggs
1 tsp orange essence
2 oranges' zest

Preheat oven to 180ÂșC.
Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating in between additions.
Mix in flour.
Add the rest of ingredients and mix.
Grease a large muffin tin (or use liners.)
Spoon in mixture.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until ready (poke one with a wooden kebab stick, they are ready if it comes out without any muffin mix sticking to it.)

*These can be served warm with a dollop of cream cheese icing sprinkled with a few poppy seeds.
